What Can Actually Be Fixed Remotely - Without a Visit?

A lot of people assume that if something's wrong with their Mac or iPhone, someone needs to come and sit with them. That is not always the case. A surprising amount can be sorted remotely, quickly, and without any fuss.

How does it work?

If you have a Mac, iPhone, or iPad signed in with your Apple Account, I can connect directly via screen sharing through Apple's built-in remote access. You do not need to download anything or be particularly technical. I will send you simple instructions, you share your screen, and we work through it together. You can see everything I am doing at all times.

What can be sorted remotely?

Quite a lot, as it happens:

  • Software not working or behaving oddly

  • iCloud problems - storage full, photos not syncing, things not appearing across devices

  • Email not working properly

  • App issues and general troubleshooting

  • Apple Account problems

  • Screen time, parental controls, and privacy settings

  • Getting things set up and organised the way you want

  • General tidying up - login items, storage, settings

What needs a visit instead?

A few things genuinely do need to be done in person. If your Wi-Fi is down, remote access is not going to work - that one is obvious. Setting up a new device or moving everything across from an old one is also something I prefer to do in person, as it is quicker and less prone to things going wrong mid-transfer.

Not sure if your issue can be sorted remotely?

Just drop me a message and we can have a quick chat. Most things can be, and if not, we will find a time that works.
