Apple One - What Is It and Is It Worth It?

If you've ever looked at your bank statement and noticed separate charges for Apple Music, iCloud storage, Apple TV+, and maybe Apple Arcade, you might have wondered whether there's a better way.
There is, sort of. It's called Apple One.
What is Apple One?
Apple One is a bundle that combines Apple's subscription services into one monthly payment. There are three tiers:
Individual - Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, and 50GB of iCloud+ storage. £18.95/month.
Family - the same services shared with up to five family members, plus 200GB of iCloud+ storage. £24.95/month.
Premier - everything in Family, plus Apple News+ and Apple Fitness+, and 2TB of iCloud+ storage. £36.95/month.
Is it worth it?
It depends entirely on what you're already paying for separately.
Apple Music alone is £10.99/month. Apple TV+ is £8.99/month. iCloud storage at 50GB is £0.79/month. If you're paying for any two of those, the Individual plan at £18.95 almost certainly makes sense - you're likely paying more already and getting less.
The Family plan is where it gets really compelling. At £24.95 shared between up to five people, it works out to roughly £5 per person - that's a genuinely good deal if you've got a household full of Apple devices.
If you don't use Apple TV+ or Arcade, it's worth doing the maths on your specific situation before committing - but for most people already in the Apple ecosystem, it will save money.
How do you set it up?
Go to the App Store, tap your profile picture, and you'll see Apple One as an option. Apple will show you how much you'd save based on your current subscriptions before you commit, which makes the decision easy.
If you'd like a hand working it out, it's the kind of thing we can sort in ten minutes. Just get in touch.
